In the letter today talk about another issue of great importance for security practitioners. This column will discuss the safety training for employees and how they can contribute to security and organizational efficiency.
Due to the complexity and the level of competition in the global business environment, all management function must find ways to create or contribute to organizational effectiveness in its policies and procedures.
The need for organizational efficiency lies in the fact that business enterprises must have the ability to quickly adapt to their changing environment business.
Corporate security management function as facing the same challenge and has the obligation to help the company to adapt to your business environment. Corporate security is no longer only responsible for protecting company assets, but has the responsibility for creating organizational efficiency.
Misconceptions of corporate security
Business in many companies there are many misconceptions about corporate security. One is that the security of a company rests solely on the shoulders of the members of the corporate security unit.
Due to the business environment, recent domestic attacks by radical elements; violence in the workplace and the increase in criminal activity, there is a need to change this belief.

It is through this remark that employees understand their role in supporting the creation of a safe working environment. Third, through trainings, employees are part of a network that can report on indicators of suspicious activity or violations of security policies or procedures that can become serious security incident consequences. And finally, involve employees in the responsibility to protect the assets, creates teamwork and synergy between corporate security and business units of the company.
In the business environment of 21 century, corporate security and management function is limited in its contribution to the success of business but promotes organizational efficiency in their security programs. This efficiency can be developed through the active participation of employees of the company working closely with corporate security.
